Track description

From Vezza d’Oglio pass through the hamlet of Grano and get to Risulina, a few steep hundred meters after the end of the asphalt road. Keep to the right and continue on a slight slope alongside a thick fir wood until the view suddenly opens onto the valley. Cross the Val Bighera creek, turn left and take the road of the valley bottom. Ride on two sharp overhangs and reach the plain of Le Valli (there is a farmhouse here) and then the plain of Caret. Surrounded by the magnificent landscape of the Val Grande, now you can get your breath back up to the Val Grande alpine hut, where the last steep stretch awaits us. Riding through rhododendrons, grazing cows and whistling marmots you get to your destination: the Saverio Occhi bivouac situated at 2040 meters’ height on the Plas de l'Asen, at the foot of a marvellous mountain landscape. The very amusing descent runs on the same uphill route up to Plazabùs; then turn left, go downhill until you have to cross the torrent Val Grande. Then climb a little uphill and continue halfway on the hydrographic left slope of the valley up to Gussano. As you reach the asphalt road, climb down to Tù and then go back to Vezza d’Oglio.
